Day 15: A picture of something you want to do before you die.

Is to be able to join and win the World Fencing Championship or better, the Olympics.

Yes, I've always wanted to be able to stand on top of the podium, and hear my national anthem being broadcasted to the whole world.
That's what I want to do before I leave this planet.

Day 14: A picture of something you could never imagine your life without.

Although I can't live without food and air, but I really cannot imagine my life without true Laugh Out Loud moments. I simply adore laughing and making other people laugh.
I guess it makes my life worth living.
You can take away my internet, my clothes or even my phone (though I'm not asking you to, just a figure of speech), but don't ever take away laughter

Like Charlie Chaplin once said:

"A day without laughter, is a day wasted."

Day 13: A picture of your favorite band or artist.

To be honest, I have a lot of favourites. But Simple Plan has to be one of the top.

I instantly fell in love with this band when my mom got their sophomore album, "Still Not Getting Any" for me. The songs like "Addicted" "I'd Do Anything" "My Alien" and my favourite "Welcome To My Life" were constantly blasting on the speakers at home. Then, the other songs like "Shut Up" "Don't Mean Anything" and others like "Jet Lag" have been on my mental playlist for a while now. Excited to be getting their recent album "Get Your Heart On!"!

Heard that they are coming back to Malaysia for a concert. I just have to be there!!

Day 12: A picture of something you love.

CHRISTMAS MOVIES

Maybe this post has to do with the fact that Christmas is 13 days away! or maybe I really do love this.

Christmas movies are timeless classics for me. From Home Alone to The Grinch, I will never get bored of them.
Because to me, Christmas movies are always filled with tearful drama and some of the most amazing endings. Everybody is always happy in the end (yes, even the Grinch ended up happy).
I absolutely love this. I can still watch it in the middle of the year and it won't seem weird at all.

Christmas With Glee

Do They Know It's Christmas? (Glee Version)

This song is the first song that made me literally cry. This song really explained the true meaning of Christmas.
Giving. Share. Spreading the Love.

This, is just amazing. Honestly, I am speechless. In a very good way.

Day 11: A picture of something you hate.

Man-eating Dinosaur Movies.

So, everyone knows Terra Nova is a nice show, people exling themselves to go and live in the woods, build a new world all over again, hot guys in uniforms, love romances etc. It seemed cool, until dinosaurs start appearing and eating people. That's when I switched the channel.

It all started from Jurassic Park when I was just a little girl. When Dad got the CD, not knowing what it's all about, I sat down and watch. Been having nightmares about it for weeks. It's the fact that they just take a small bite and leave your body parts stuck in between their teeth. Disturbing and disgusting.

After that, I refused to watch any movie or tv series or commercials, ANYTHING related to dinosaurs eating humans.

Don't get me wrong, dinosaur movies are cool, where the only living things in the movie were trees, bacteria, insects and dinosaurs. That's all.

When the human world and the dinosaur world merge to make a movie, count me out of that.

Recent purchase.

Haven't been going any shopping lately. So here's my only buy this month. I think.
Bought a ring from Deanna Maria's Closet for only RM10. Look how cute it is!

It's a teapot mood ring

Yeah, it's been the same colour since I wore it. Dark Blue/Purple=relaxed.
Good to know.

Check out the shop! (Only for KKians!!)

Day Ten: A picture of the person you do the most crazy things with.

My sister and me. A lot of people think we're twins, but we're not.
We just like to do crazy stuffs together, like annoy our brothers, prank somebody, fighting with each other using pillows and brooms.

Outside, we might seem distant together, but at home, it's total chaos. She can't help being lame and I can't help being insulting. Sometimes, vice versa.

Yeah. She's crazy and sometimes annoying. but she's still my sister :)

Results!

So this year has been chaotic for me in the academic department.
Went through 2 public exams, suffered all the pressure and projects and deadlines.
Finally, my hardwork is about to be credited. Not sure how it will turn out though.

Yes, the PMR and UEC results are coming out in the same week! UEC will be on the 21st and PMR on the 23rd.

After the last day of exams, I have forced myself not to think about the results since it was months away then. Now, it's in a couple weeks time and not sure if I can control my excitement and anxiety.
In other words, I'm scared. I'm afraid the reality won't match up to the expectation. Honestly, it doesn't matter that much if I disappointed my parents or teachers. But it will hurt if I disappointed myself.

I've put in so much effort into finishing the papers, especially Chinese History. I would beat myself up if I failed. *gulp*

Hoping all the other candidates are getting ready to receive the news better than I am.
I have been having "panic attacks" at the very thought of the results.

Day Nine: A picture of the person who has gotten you through the most.

My Mom <3

I guess she really is the person who has gotten through me the most. She's not the type of mum who shows affection openly, instead, I've found out that she shows her love through her strict and sometimes intolerable ways.
She has definitely showed me how to be a true person and a lady. She has been there with me through my midnight breakdowns and through my days spent in the hospital.
Although there were times when we couldn't agree on the same terms, but in the end, she always know what's best for me and let me do the decision, which always ends with me agreeing with her.
Yeah, my mom is really just the perfect person for this.

My Letter to Santa

The White Lie

So for my bedtime story, I decided to reread my posts for 2011. As I enter the month of May 2011, I realised that my posts were mostly about guys and my feelings.
I guess I just have to clear things up.

Like my introduction page says "Guys are not my current interest" which, is part truth, part lie.

I'm telling the truth about not feeling anything serious for the opposite gender. It's just not my time to be going through that much of emotion. Just living my life like it is, carefree and the freedom to fantasize about certain guys like Tom Daley or Sean Berdy (Emmett from Switched at Birth).

The lying part is that I will never lack interest in guys. I would always feel a little giddy when you update your life on the social network sites. It's like I'm stalking you, but from a distance. Well, that didn't really make any sense. Hmmph.

Yeah. I guess I've made myself clear here.

Training later at 4 pm.
Should I go for the French class?

Not your only child..

It annoys me when my parents ask me to do something when I'm in the middle of doing something else, and just expects me to drop everything on my hand and do it for them. It's not that I'm being disrespectful, but if you have 3 other siblings, who are obviously not doing anything, and you end up being called for, you couldn't help but wonder, "why me? They are not doing anything, why not them?"

"I'm busy." Is a line I've learned not to use when being in this situation.
They would always use this classic comeback line:
"When I ask you to do something, then you're busy. But when there's nothing I want you to do, you're not busy."

That always leaves me speechless, because I don't want to continue with "Well, you always choose the times when I'm doing something"
That would only end up with all my request for something being ignored.

In the end, I always do as I'm told and avoid all the drama.

But I couldn't help but wonder, why always me? You guys have 3 more children who would happily do those things for you, when they have nothing else better to do though, but yet you chose the busy one.
I JUST DON'T GET IT.

Another mystery about a parent.

Day Eight: A picture that makes you laugh.

I actually have a few photos that makes me laugh, but I'd rather not put them online for the good of everybody. Especially myself. Ha.

The photo above makes me laugh because everybody was trying to do the "high-waisted nerd look". I think most of us were "half-way there". The moment when we all just agreed to pose like this, silently I laugh.
Trinity (the cute little girl in front) just made this photo that more adorable and funny!!

This was taken after a long night of caroling a year ago, and some of us just decided to let loose and act wild. Good times, good times...

Friday, December 2

Merry December :)

Yeah, the second day of one of my favourite months of the year, next to January.

Here's 5 things I look forward to this Christmas:

1) Caroling- favourite Christmas event. Get to go to houses and venues to sing wonderful carols!
2) Shopping! Mostly for all my darlings. Presents!
3) Christmas-themed Movies! They only play it once a year, so HOME ALONE MARATHON!
4) Family Reunions! Aunt Mimi and Aunt Ani coming back for the hols this year! Oh the comedic drama that will happen!
5) Christmas Day!! The day I've been looking forward to every year! The presents, the laughter, the food! Can't dislike the food on Christmas!

Thinking about all these things just makes me really happy and giddy inside. I feel like a little kid again :)

Hope you guys are preparing well for the holidays too! Don't forget to write your letters to Santa!

Day Seven: A picture of your most treasured item.

This is my baby over here.

Lucky. My Allstar BF 2008 epee.
It's my fencing weapon and my confidence booster. Dad gave it to me as a "well done and all the best" gift late 2010, I think. Can't remember the exact date I got it.
Fencing fact: The heaviest weapon is the epee, and it's bell guard is also the largest among the others.
So whenever I hold Lucky up, it immediately makes me feel a lot bigger (and stronger) because I'm only 156cm which is actually considered "small-size" in the sport.
I named it Lucky because all through the 2 years together, I've managed to improve my accuracy and it made me feel like it brings me luck, so yeah, LUCKY :)

If anyone tries to mess with my weapon, oh, you'll probably end up polishing it until it really shines!

Day Six: A picture of a person you’d love to trade places with for a day.

Lisa Ling (her Wiki page)

I would like to trade places with her because of her career. She's a journalist, the Oprah Show Investigative Reporter and she has covered many stories and investigation. She's not like Giuliana Rancic or Cat Deely covering entertainment news, but she does the hardcore stuffs like child trafficking to the 9/11 to the bride burning in India.

I got inspired by her on the Oprah Show one day. She was interviewing this man who shot his family members and who was going to be executed the next day. The one thing I really admire about her is that she is able to stare these people in the eye without the slightest sight of fear.

What amazes me still is that she got in and out of North Korea safely! I mean, her documentary about the country shows us how hard it is to go to places without being followed by the Army General. To make it out alive without being locked up, is really awesome.

She is truly my inspiration and an amazing person. I would be scared but honoured to be able to step foot in her shoes for a day.

Must Watch!

So, ever since Star World introduced us to their new shows, I am now currently hooked to this one:

It's a story about two babies who were switched at birth and both grew up in totally opposite backgrounds.
I love everything from the plot to the actors.
Incredibly talented actors from Lucas Grabeel to Katie Leclerc. I am slowly falling into obsession with this show.
What amazes me is that Katie is hard at hearing but is still able to speak and Sean Berdy (the very cute guy below) is really deaf. They are doing such an amazing job and I'm more interested in the Sign Language now.

Won't you just die for this pair of eyes?
